Originally seen as quirky training tools to help promote level tamping with single spouts or bottomless portafilters, Tamping Stands have gained acceptance in full-time use in cafes and bars around the world.
The Cafelat Tamping Stand builds upon the original Bumper Stand and which has been developed into a single stylish and compact unit. The frame inside is stainless steel and then coated with a food grade rubber. You may tamp from the front with a regular single or double portafilter or use a bottomless portafilter by turning it around. The non-slip base provides a very stable tamping platform.
Aside from promoting level tamping the other major benefit of the Cafelat Tamping Stand is that it elevates the spouts so that they do not pick up stray coffee grounds or dirt that may end up in a cup.
The Cafelat Tamping Stand ensures that the only thing your coffee touches after is leaves the portafilter are the spouts!
