Saeco Royal Cappuccino – still a part of the daily grind

The Saeco Royal Cappuccino. Still the most popular office coffee solution for small offices

The Saeco Royal Cappuccino. Still the most popular office coffee solution for small offices

First bought out around a decade ago, the Saeco Royal Cappuccino revolutionised the automatic coffee machine market with its automatic frothing device – the cappucinatore.

Taking the guess work out of the perfect cappuccino, the Saeco Royal Cappuccino today continues to make the perfect creamy foam every time.  Continual innovations such as stainless steel boilers and improved digital interface have made the current models even more reliable but the overall functionality and ease is still the same as when they were first released.

A very affordable and reliable machine, the Royal Cappuccino is still the number one choice for small offices and handles the morning rush with ease through its twin boilers and pumps.

An easy purchase to justify to any finance department by cost per use or perhaps based on the return on investment quantifiable by happy team members.

New 800ml Saeco Milk Island – Simply brilliant!

Monday, August 18th, 2008

saeco-milk-island.gifOk, at the Coffee Shrine we always thought the Milk Island for the Saeco Talea range was a pretty good idea. A simple, no fuss way to make beautifully frothed milk with the push of a button.Well, now with the new release of the 800ml (or 13.5oz) Milk Island Jug, we are convinced this is possibly the best way to make multiple cups of Cafe Latte, Cappuccino, Flat While, Macciato or Hot Chcolate.

The Saeco Milk Island is a convenient automatic frother that is specially designed for use with Saeco’s Talea line of super automatic machines. The Saeco Talea Milk Island is easy to connect and remove, making frothing, pouring, and cleaning a snap. To use, just connect the black hose to the steam output on the bottom left side of your Saeco Talea, place the glass carafe filled with the desired amount of milk on the base, and turn the steam knob to the Milk Island icon. In just a few moments, frothed milk will be ready for pouring.

Additionally, it looks like Saeco have actually got the new 800ml version of the milk island right! It features:

  • Fast Cleaning Button: Quickly clean the valve of the carafe before each use of the Milk Island with just the press of a button (more…)

Caffe Latte Anyone?

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

coffee-shrine-cafe-latte.jpgA caffe latte is literally a “milky coffee” – espresso with both a steamed milk and milk froth.

A key part of the the traditional Italian breakfast where they are served in a bowl accompanied by your favorite pastry or biscotti, you are unlikely to see caffe lattes severed in Italian cafes except to foreigners.

Caffe latte and it’s variation the flat white are today two of the most popular espresso coffee drinks served from cafe’s and Office Coffee Machines throughout Australia.

Caffe Latte Australian Version
Extract 30mls of espresso into lattee glass
Pour creamy textured milk into glass leaving 1cm of foam
draw crema to the surface of the coffee

Variations
8oz cup – 1 shot of coffee
12oz cup – 2 shots of coffee
16oz cup – 3 shots of coffee

Office Coffee Machines – How to buy.

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Office Coffee Machines reward your staff and customers with superb tasting fresh espresso coffee drinks and specialty hot beverages at the touch of the button. Most countries of the world have  become have become increasingly sophisticated drinkers of coffee and the benefits of providing staff and customers quality and choice in their office coffee has been well recognized by many leading companies.

Office Coffee machine capacity (usage) is usually divided into three criteria.

  • Light volume for small offices – serving between to 30-80 cups a day
  • Medium volume -for medium sized offices  serving 100-200 cups a day
  • High volume for larger offices – serving 250+ cups a day

Milk Options:
Perhaps the most important thing to consider when choosing an Office Coffee Machine is whether to go for a model with a Fresh or Powdered Milk. While some office coffee machine models are strictly powdered milk only, many models have the option of an ‘add on’ fresh milk unit. More expensive models may even the fully automatic milk frother built into the coffee machine – which is also refrigerated to keep the milk cool.

Powder, Granulated or Freeze Dried Milk which is stored in a canister inside your office coffee machine have come a long way in recent years and may suite those who do not want the inconvenience or additional upfront and ongoing cost of fresh milk – although this is some trade off with sacrificing overall drink quality.
Expansion
Office Coffee Machines may include options for both additional bean hoppers and additional powder canisters. This gives extra capacity for busy periods, the option of a decaffeinated coffee as well as offering specialty drinks such as flavoured coffees, hot chocolate and chai.
Selections
Different Office Coffee Machines will have differing numbers of pre-programmed selections. The more sophisticated the machine the more drink style and cup size selections are available.
Manufacturers
When choosing your Office Coffee Machine it is important to buy from a reputable supplier and choose a model from a recognised manufacture – such as HLF, N&W, Schaerer or Saeco. This will ensure that your purchase is well supported with warranty, servicing and parts for many years.
Equipment Finance
All good Office Coffee suppliers will offer a range of equipment finance options to ensure the purchase of your office coffee solutions meets the cash flow requirements of your business. This includes pay per cup, rent-try-buy, lease or outright purchase.
